While testing the different heating modes of the Airstream AC unit, I consumed enough power form the batteries to put them in Yellow at the status panel. A double check with a voltmeter confirmed a low charge. I was hoping that 1hr of pulling the Airstream with the GMC truck would re-charge the batteries but apperately, 1hr of driving did not make a dent on the charging chart.
So I decided to put the Yamaha EF 3000 iSEB on some extra duty.The generator came with this kit to recharge 12V batteries, so I decided to test it.
After only 15 minutes of runnign the generator, the batteries were back to "green" in the status panel. Neat, good to know next time we are about to go boondocking and want to run on full charged batteries.
