Oklahoma notes...

Blue Bailout and Silver Whale parked in the Oklahoma Prairie.

Today we drove from Natural Springs State Park to Bartlesville OK to visit Vicky's uncle.
My first impression of the Oklahoman landscape was of surprise. Rolling hills with rocks and pines.

Buffalo in Woolaroc.

Can I get that one with a Hensley Hitch?

The most impressive area was around the Woolaroc Wildlife Preserve and Museum. It looks like all the wealth of this area was built on Oil....old style, “There will be blood” style.

"There was blood"

We also visited Bernie's collection of classic cars and restoration projects. An impressive number of cars form all eras, form the 30's to the 80's.

Today we spent the day with Vicky's uncle Bernie. We drove to Tulsa OK to a GMC motorhome meeting. It was fun and interesting to exchange stories and “RV wisdom” with RV veterans. This particular bunch are committed to their GMC motorhomes, a vehicle that looks like a 70's Winnebago, has a hefty gasoline engine, and 2 axles in the back, with air suspension.

All in all a fun day. We got lots of RV'ing tips, a nice lunch and the latest Tea Party schedule around the country....Ladies and Gents, start your engines!

Looks like Bernie is doing well on his GMC RV project, but the restoration of 30's classics needs a little more progress. Rust is winning the race.

Bernie had 2, 3 completed Hot Rod projects. Beautiful cars!
The collection of junked cars is....impressive.
