After weeks of spreadsheets and 50000 ft style planning, we have stalled into a parade of delays, hurdles, and little annoyances in general. Snarky remainders that planning too much is just like a waving a red cape in front of a bull.
In the trailer department, we need to fix the roof vents, deal with a little crack in the skin, and fix a piece of peeling linoleum in the bathroom. In the truck corner, we have been waiting for the truck cap and side-steps for some time now. We need the cap to be in place to buy and store a generator that will be used for boondocking, but for now is needed to power our power tools needed to do some of the repairs.
To pile on the misery, for the last three weeks, it has been raining a lot. So we can not work much on the roof vents, and the lot where we are storing the trailer, turns into a mud pit with very little rain. The silver lining on all this? I finally got to use the 4x4 feature on the truck....when I got stuck in the mud after visiting the trailer in the lot.
Patience, patience...
